TV Review: LOKI

LOKI: Interesting.

As a viewer, I fell asleep several times. There were A LOT of scenes where they were literally sitting around talking, a WHOLE LOTTA science, and meta lies and manipulations. What is fact vs. fiction was a theme but it went a bit too far for me and became a repetitive line throughout the series.

Remember that our viewing pleasures are subjective. I can comment that something is structurally sound and still not enjoy it as a viewer. This is why when my clients ask if I liked their screenplay, I do not answer. My subjective feelings about your story mean absolutely nothing. I’m here to help you tell the best story you can tell… even if I have no intention of ever watching it. It’s called being objective. 😁

At this point, I agree with others that Marvel is simply using Disney + to share a few things that we’ll need for the greater journey while also taking creative risks in the television space. For that reason, I will watch FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER. These two, like Wanda and Vision, are characters I’ve never been interested in learning more about. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I did, however, always enjoy the detail of the TVA in the end credits. 😁
